Premier merit fellowship awarded to exceptional incoming international and Swiss graduate candidates, providing up to CHF 24,000 per year to support full-time scientific study at the University of Basel and Biozentrum.

- Academic degree / Prerequisites
- Graduation in the top 10% of undergraduate degree class with distinction.
- English language proficiency
- Academic IELTS 7.0 overall or TOEFL iBT 100.
- Standardized testing (GRE/GMAT)
- Recommended for quantitative programs outside Switzerland.
- Thesis / Research statement
- Demonstrated academic motivation, 2-page research essay, and curriculum vitae.
- Recommendation letters
- Two confidential academic letters of recommendation from university professors.

- Financial support / stipend
- Fully funded: Annual stipend of CHF 18,000 to CHF 24,000 per year plus full coverage of tuition and laboratory research expenses for up to three years

- CHF 100 foreign credential evaluation fee
- Tuition / joining costs
- Full tuition completely waived for fellowship recipients.
