- Sophomore or junior standing at AIKCU institution with minimum 3.20 GPA in STEM major
- English language proficiency
- Not required for domestic matriculants; English proficiency for international scholars

- Research project abstract (2 pages) endorsed by sponsoring faculty mentor and CV
- Recommendation letters
- Two faculty recommendations in relevant STEM disciplines
