How the reduction operates

Privately financed international students holding or obtaining the residency status of "College Student" (留学) under Japanese immigration regulations are eligible for a 30% reduction on standard annual tuition fees. The discount is intended to ensure that international education at Aichi University remains accessible to students regardless of background.

Eligibility Conditions

Applies to degree-seeking students who receive less than ¥90,000 on average as a monthly allowance from their family (excluding entrance fees and direct tuition).

Application Timing

Submitted during the admission procedure. For spring entry, residency verification must be completed by April 1 to apply to the first semester.

Combination with Merit Grants

Students may also receive the Gakusyu Shoreikin study grant (¥200,000/year) and Supporters' Association scholarships (¥100,000/year).

Action checklist for applicants

  1. Verify that your target graduate school or undergraduate faculty accepts privately financed international students.
  2. Confirm that your average monthly family allowance meets the under-¥90,000 threshold.
  3. Submit the tuition reduction request form alongside your admission confirmation paperwork.
  4. Complete student visa procedures promptly before the April 1 or autumn enrollment cutoffs.
