Who can apply and how
Applicants must satisfy the university's published eligibility and enrollment rules. The university considers academic or artistic merit and other contextual factors including engagement and personal circumstances. An application requires a teaching-staff recommendation; ask the relevant lecturer early. The announcement directs applications to the appropriate enrolled program. It is not a scholarship that automatically follows an overseas university application.
- Confirm that you meet the official enrollment and program-specific conditions.
- Read the latest German announcement and award-specific options.
- Obtain the required academic recommendation and assemble the application materials.
- Submit through the linked official university portal by the published deadline.

Important restrictions
The university says the award may be combined with BAföG but disallows certain overlapping merit-based support. There is no legal entitlement to an award. The published deadline falls on the review date, so availability can change within hours; this page must not be treated as evidence that applications remain open.
Verification and editorial note
This is an independent source-reviewed guide, not a university application service or a guarantee of admission, supervision, funding or an open vacancy. Official German-language announcements control when translations disagree. Check the official page immediately before applying.
