Academic overview & strategic disciplines

Operating without formal academic departments, Rockefeller organizes research around more than 70 independent laboratory heads (Heads of Laboratory). Its campus houses the Rockefeller University Hospital (one of the oldest clinical research hospitals in the US), cryo-electron microscopy facilities, and high-throughput genomic sequencing centers.

Research admissions & international qualifications

Doctoral admissions into the David Rockefeller Graduate Program are exceptionally selective. Candidates are evaluated holistically based on extensive undergraduate research experience, letters of recommendation from research mentors, undergraduate transcripts, and a detailed statement of research philosophy. All admitted Ph.D. scholars receive full fellowship support.
