The University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is a private, specialized technology university in Tempe, Arizona. Established in 1983, UAT is celebrated for its unique 'Synchronic Learning' model, project-based engineering education, and industry-aligned degrees in game design, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics, and software architecture.
UAT operates undergraduate and graduate degree programs through five technical clusters: Game Studies, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Digital Media, and Artificial Intelligence. Its modern campus features motion capture studios, robotics fabrication labs, and a state-of-the-art security operations center (SOC).
Admissions are rolling and evaluated through UAT's direct portal. Applicants submit high school or college transcripts, showcase personal technology or design projects, and undergo an admissions interview. Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) are optional.
