OpenFieldCultural Heritage and Creativity — research doctorate
A research-degree pathway at Accademia di Belle Arti di Lecce. Program established, but an open funded intake for the next cycle is not confirmed as of 14 October 2026.
Research topics and eligibility
The doctoral academy describes high-level creative research across visual/applied art, design, artistic technologies, the conservation/restoration of cultural heritage and methods of artistic communication. Its original research streams were Design and Innovation for the Environment and Person, plus Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Arts. Check the current regulations for the precise next-cycle project areas.
The 2024 launch notice stated that candidates may hold an Italian master's-level university degree, a second-level academic diploma or a suitable foreign equivalent. It did not specify an age or nationality cap for that inaugural competition; future call conditions must be checked independently.

Which admissions cycle is current?
The institution published the XLI-cycle 2025/26 call and candidate templates in November 2025; the final winner rankings were published in February 2026. These are historical documents. The existence of PhD studies in the academy does not by itself mean that admissions or scholarships are currently open.
Review the official PhD hub for a subsequent competition, especially the deadline, participating research themes, required anonymized proposal, CV and qualification declarations, selection stages and scholarship allocation.

- Declaration of academic title and foreign qualification documents as required.
- Research proposal in identified and anonymized versions.
- Application submission and assessment according to the current official bando.

Funding and contacts
Four doctoral scholarships were confirmed for the XL 2024/25 launch, two for each original research stream. That historical number must not be transplanted into future cycles. The XLI 2025/26 final results refer to scholarship winners but do not confirm a new open opportunity in October 2026.
